FastDrop
The Reptile Marketplace
I didn’t really set out for this goal. It happened on accident, a new customer asked if they could pay six months ahead for the service I said yes. And it eventually resulted in them paying three months ahead for the service. I never thought that was possible being that FastDrop isn’t a cheap service.
It’s been a struggle getting more customers but I’ve been working on it. I recently got two more customers. Which increases my revenue and the complexity of FastDrop. One was through word of mouth. The other was through Facebook. I’m thinking of doing something other than Facebook and Instagram for customers.

What are you doing on Instagram?
Mind sharing your handle? Do you have a dedicated account for FastDrop?
What kind of content are you sharing on Instagram?

Hey @simplisticallysimple , this is my Instagram handle: @fastdropfeeders .
Yes, it is a dedicated account for FastDrop. The main things I’m doing is liking and following other people within the reptile space. A lot of sliding in DMs.
As far as content, I’m sharing things about people within the space and showing events. Also, simple advertising.

So this week I was able to close the deal for my first two customers in the ATL and Phoenix areas. I plan to send their feeder insects & rodents to them today. I used Instagram to reach out to people to secure my first customer in Atlanta. My friend told me her niece will try out my service for the Phoenix area. I'm very excited, this is the first time I've earned money from an idea like this.

I launched an Instagram promotion to learn more about my potential customers. This resulted in three people from around the country signing up for FastDrop service. I didn't notice the sign-ups until checking Mailchimp. I only can service one of the sign-ups so I'm following up to convert them into a customer.

Taking advice from a friend, I've been posting to Instagram daily. In addition to using hashtags to get my posts noticed I've been liking everyone's posts withing the Reptile Insta community. Also, when someone likes a post of mine I send the a message about my service and tell them what FastDrop offers that Petsmart and Petco don't.

I updated the offerings of FastDrop. Now we offer reptile hides, food , egg incubation materials, and shed aid. The plans are of three tiers so that people can get which tier applies to them. The entire site is build using no-code. So with Carrd + Stripe + Mailchimp.
