FaxOnline.app
Online Faxing. Yes, people still fax.
In mid-2020 we relaunched the project with a fresh design and some basic SEO to drive traffic. Right after relaunching in mid-July we had a big (relative) jump in sales, sending 10 faxes in August. We used a feedback loop from some return customers to improve the service primarily changing our model to only charge a user once we get a response from the Twilio fax API.
Faxes Sent: 65
2020 Revenue: $299.50
2021 Revenue Goal: $3,000
2021 Revenue YTD: $45
Went through and refactored entire application to improve performance, reliability, and security. Launched an improved user experience to try to improve conversion rates. There were a lot of changes in infrastructure, servers, code, and design. These were deployed today.

Not sure how it happened or how they found us but we sold our first online fax for a cool $5. It was unexpected and surprising and we had to make sure it wasn't spam. I can't really think of any other details to meet the character count that are important so now I am rambling.

We built a basic fax service that doesn't require a user account or login that allows you to send a fax using the Twilio API for a flat $5 fee powered by Stripe. Built with Laravel, powered by Forge and Digital Ocean. A very basic and ugly MVP to see if we could make it work.

I need to send a fax about once a year. Everything out there sucks, looks shady AF, or requires a subscription. Wanted to build something that allowed you to send one fax at a time and that I was confident in uploading files to and that they weren't going to be parsed and sold to advertisers.
