Fediview

Fediview now has around 4-5 paying accounts and I've been working on a daily summary email to keep fediview in people's minds (and inboxes) and provide more value.

Originally the email was only available for paying users, but I have recently changed it so that anyone can sign up for the email, but free users are limited to only see the more recent 3 posts in the summary -- plus users would get the whole summary.

I'm curious if this freemium model will prove to be useful going forward!

I started working on https://fediview.com December 21st, 2022. It originally started as a fork of https://github.com/hodgesmr/mastodon_digest which was offline-only. I converted it to a web app, re-styled everything, and have been slowly adding other features to the core "generate summary" experience.

In February 2023, I added in the paid tier, https://fediview.com/plus, for additional features like language filtering, metrics, and searching personal posts. So far, 2 people have sponsored me on GitHub for access to the Plus tier.

I have a lot of other ideas to add to Fediview going forward, but not sure which I should focus on first!
