November 19, 2023 Adding more to Feedboard

This past week has been quite intense, adding more feeds and features like Pinterest, Coingecko, Medium and Behance.
I believe these are some of the most popular feeds that people might look at but i am also working on a more open solution to allow anyone to add whatever RSS feed they might want.
This could open up possibilities I can only image as of now and I am super excited for what's to come.

November 7, 2023 ProductHunt

Like any good indie hacker, today I am launching on ProductHunt.
This is very exciting because it will get in front of thouhsands of people to try and this is where I will validate the idea and if it makes sense to continue working regularly on it.

Post launch:
The launch was great and probably one of my most sucessful so far.
We got 81 upvotes and 98 signup to the website.
I think one of the main conversion thing that I have done was adding Google SSO to allow people to quickly signup.
I have also received some good feedback and ideas for future implementations.

November 1, 2023 Live Domain

Today I bought my domain!
I initially wanted to call this Feedpal, but I thought that Feedboard was better since you are creating a board for your feeds.

The app is now live at https://feedboard.app/ and I can't wait to share it with everyone and start receiving feedback!

October 30, 2023 First problem

Because I am doing this on a very low budget I am opting for Github pages to serve my website.
Problem with this is that all my API keys that are supposed to be secret are now public.
This is a bit of a problem in term of security and there isn't a simple solution for this.

The way I am fixing this is by creating a custom API to proxy the requests.
This is a simple thing and shouldn't take me more than a day to create and deploy.
I will use Railway to publish my API so all my secrets are safe.

October 27, 2023 Let's write some code

It all started with a simple proof of concept to see if the idea was feasible and before I knew it I was already putting together by backend and database using Supabase.
I have been posting consistently on Twitter and creating a thread of my progress, sharing images and short videos.

October 26, 2023 I have an idea...

This is the beginning of Feedboard.

It all started with this tweet:
"I'm going to start a small side project to view all your feeds.
Think of something like Reddit, IndieHackers, ProductHunt and RSS all together.
Follow this thread as I will post updates #buildinpublic"
