What building a product for memecoin traders taught me about niche markets
My cofounder and I started FIKR because we realized most memecoin traders never track their performance.
What surprised me most wasn’t the tech or the design, it was how strong the demand can be in small spaces when you actually solve a real problem.
Curious how others here found early traction in niche markets. Did you focus on small audiences first or try to scale early?
About
My cofounder and I built FIKR after seeing how hard it is for memecoin traders to track results safely. We wanted a simple way to log trades, see real performance, and learn without connecting a wallet.

Totally agree small, real problems can drive strong early demand. I’ve noticed the same building Pagemon, a simple tool that alerts you instantly (Slack/Discord/email) when APIs or webhooks fail.
It’s wild how many teams miss silent failures because they rely on heavy dashboards instead of fast signals. Would love to hear how you approached early traction in such a tight niche.
Appreciate that, Raj. I think the key for us was focusing on a very specific pain first: traders losing track of their own performance because everything in memecoins happens too fast and too chaotically. Instead of building a dashboard for everyone, we built a tool that helps a small group of active traders see clear patterns immediately. Once they started getting real insights from their own data, word-of-mouth kicked in naturally.
