It has been a long road, but I have finally surpassed 1000 members on my film community FilmFed.com! It has been a long road for me to get here, but this is a big milestone. It has been a struggle to prove to people that a subject specific website makes for a better community experience then just posting on social media with hashtags.
My site FilmFed.com recently hit a couple of huge milestones.
As of May 2019, FilmFed community members have contributed more that 300 film reviews and more than 10,000 film ratings!

Really cool. Am curious, you said you currently monetise using AdSense, what is your monthly revenue from AdSense and how many pageviews do you get averagely monthly?
Also, an affiliate earning system is possible. Maybe discounts to get tickets to new releases at a cinema near you. Goodluck

My revenue is pretty small. Only $1 to $5 a month. My current monthly average is right around 7,000 unique users.

Thank you. This was a back dated update, but the site is doing great. I am approaching 1000 members on the site and 12,000 Instagram followers, so it is going pretty well.

Not right now but I do want to add some gamification. But I might ask the form here for suggestions on how to incentivize.

I had always intended a subscription elite type membership, I just never got around to it. I am currently in the process of rebuilding the platform to support a mobile app and a subscription model.
For now it has just been Adsense.

This looks really good. Congratulations on the launch.
I decided to start the @FilmFed Instagram account a few months prior to the launch of the website. I want to start connecting with other movie fans and establish myself in the social space.
I am also excited to start talking about the community I am trying to build.
