Finanzy
Personal Expense, Income and Budget Tracker
May was a big month for Finanzy, our Android-based personal finance manager that helps users stay on top of their money with a simple yet powerful expense tracker, income tracker, and budget planner.
Here’s what’s new:
📍 Map Feature for Spending Insights
We’ve added a map view that allows users to see where their expenses occur. This visual layer gives users more context on their spending habits, making the expense tracker experience more insightful.
🔎 Smarter Filters
We’ve upgraded our filter system to let users explore their transactions by account, category, and date. This makes Finanzy more powerful as an income tracker and budget planner, helping users better understand and control their financial activity.
🎯 Reached 1,000 Installs
Finanzy has officially reached 1,000 installs on Google Play. It’s a small but meaningful milestone for our mission to deliver a reliable personal finance manager for everyday users.
🛠 Other Improvements
- New account icons
- More precise account balances with decimal display
- Updated income/expense charts
- Improved feedback button for user interaction

April marked a major milestone for Finanzy with the release of the 3.0.0 version series — easily the most transformative update so far.
🎨 Complete UI redesign
We gave the entire app a visual refresh — cleaner layout, better structure, more intuitive navigation. The goal: make budgeting feel less like a chore and more like something you actually want to interact with.
🌙 Dark Mode is here
Finally added! A highly requested feature, and honestly, it feels like it was overdue. It makes nighttime use way easier on the eyes and just looks... better.
💱 Customizable currency formatting
This was a fun detail to implement: users can now choose how numbers are displayed (dot or comma) and where the currency symbol appears. Tiny settings, but they make the app feel more “yours.”
🌐 Arabic language support
We’ve added Arabic as our 10th supported language. Localization isn’t just a checklist item — it’s a core part of Finanzy’s accessibility strategy, and we're working to get it right.
🛠️ Behind the scenes: polish & fixes
Versions 3.0.1 and 3.0.2 focused on refining translations, fixing Premium activation bugs, resolving UI glitches, and improving stability across the board.
I’m really proud of how this version came together. Still plenty to do, but 3.0 felt like a step toward Finanzy becoming not just useful — but delightful.
If you're redesigning or localizing your own app, let’s swap lessons!

March was all about refinement and giving users more flexibility in how they use (and support) Finanzy.
💸 Lifetime Premium is here
A lot of users asked for a non-subscription option — now it’s live. With a one-time payment, users can unlock all premium features forever. No recurring charges, no subscription fatigue. It’s ideal for those who see long-term value in the app.
🌍 Improved localization
We cleaned up missing translations across all supported languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Turkish, Romanian, Russian, Portuguese, and Italian). It's a small but meaningful step toward making Finanzy feel “native” no matter where you're from.
⚙️ Performance and stability updates
Versions 2.3.6, 2.3.7, and 2.3.8 were all about stability, speed, and bug fixes. The app feels faster and more reliable overall — especially on mid-range devices.
Every month brings small but important progress. I’m always working on making Finanzy not just more feature-rich, but also more pleasant to use.
If you've launched a lifetime pricing option for your own app — did it work for you? I'd love to compare notes!

February was a bit quieter than January in terms of volume, but a lot of meaningful refinements made it into Finanzy this month.
🌍 Now available in Romanian
We added support for Romanian — part of our ongoing goal to make Finanzy more accessible worldwide. Managing finances in your native language really makes a difference, and we’re happy to welcome new users into the fold.
📊 New Monthly Summary on the home screen
This was a highly requested feature: a clean, snapshot view of your finances. You can now see income, expenses, net balance, wants vs. needs breakdowns, and internal transfers — all in one place. There's even month-over-month percentage changes to help users track progress and spot trends.
💳 Better credit card management
For those juggling credit cards, we've added fields like credit limit, cutoff date, and due date. Plus, there's a new chart in the Reports section that visualizes credit card spending and balances over time.
⚙️ And the usual performance improvements
Finanzy is running smoother than ever. As always, each update is shaped by feedback and real use cases.

January was a big month for Finanzy. I focused on improving both the onboarding experience and how users engage with their spending habits — with a few key updates I’m really excited about:
✅ Demo data for new users
I’ve added a feature that lets users explore Finanzy using demo accounts, categories, and transactions — all localized based on language and currency. It’s been a game-changer for onboarding. People now get to experience the app without needing to add real data first.
💡 Wants vs. Needs classification
One feature that users kept asking for: being able to separate "wants" and "needs" when tracking expenses. That’s now live. This helps users better understand their spending behavior, especially when viewing monthly reports with visual charts.
⚙️ Performance boosts + ad support
As part of app sustainability, ads are now shown to non-premium users (premium stays ad-free). I’ve also made performance improvements to make the app faster and more reliable overall.
Finanzy is still growing slowly, but steadily. Each update is shaped by what I hear from users and what I wish existed in the personal finance space myself.
If you’re building something similar or have thoughts on how to improve the UX of finance apps — I’d love to hear from you.

I launched Finanzy on the Google Play Store in October 2024 as a simple personal finance app. Since then, it’s been an intense and rewarding ride — 17 updates, dozens of improvements, and a whole lot of learning.
Some updates were about stability and performance, others added new features to improve the day-to-day experience. One thing I learned: even the smallest UI tweak can mean a lot when your app is about habits.
To support users better, I built a full user guide and localized the app into 8 languages — and even updated the website to reflect that. We're not just building features; we’re building trust and usability across different regions.
We hit 350+ downloads recently. It's a small but meaningful milestone, and honestly, it’s what keeps me going.
🧭 What’s next?
In 2025, I want to expand language support further, polish the UI/UX, and (most importantly) keep listening to the community. Finanzy is still a work in progress, but it's shaping into something I'm genuinely proud of.
If you're working on something similar or just curious, would love to hear your thoughts or feedback. Let's build better tools together!
