August 14, 2021 Came up with my idea

In my day to day, as CEO and founder of a startup (Adtuo), and for years, because it is the 2nd startup I founded, I usually look for startups on Crunchbase.
Crunchbase is a spin-off of TechCrunch, the most renowned blog about startups and the best online data base to date. I search there from new companies that arise and awaken my interest, others that I already knew and I read that they have closed a new round or have been acquired, new and interesting things that come out or just see how they evolve or where they are from or how much competitors have raised. This habit allows me to understand well how things work, what trends occur, what is the most demanded, and ultimately form an opinion and have a deeper understanding of the current affairs and the world of startups.
To do this and to inform myself on a regular basis, I would search Crunchbase every time for the name of the company I wanted to learn more about. But that takes several clicks: open a new tab, type in the Crunchbase web address, wait for the entire page to load, click on the search engine, type in the startup’s name and press enter to see the results. And finally click on the startup I’m interested in to go to its listing. If you repeat this action several times a day, it’s really time-consuming. So I thought: 🤔
— “Surely someone has made a fantastic Google Chrome extension that makes this easier.”
And indeed! Internet and the developers that inhabit it, are the best. Altruistically someone had the same need as me and had developed and made available for free something that was so good for me to save a few minutes every day. So I installed it immediately and have used it for years, until the recent redesign of Crunchbase changed the site completely and the extension stopped working, this frustrated me a lot, but I didn’t even uninstall it… because I always had the hope that the developer would fix it one day, but it hasn’t been like that.
So, for change of scope, I took the plunge, and did the developer thing, I developed my first own Chrome extension to solve a need I’ve had for a long time (and I think I’m not the only one..).

About

I usually look for startups on Crunchbase. And only existing extension is broke times ago. So I make my 1st Chrome extension to try to solve the issue and offer it for free to contribute, as the existing one helped me.
