FindMyAITool.io

Hey Indie Hackers! 👋

I recently launched FindMyAITool.io, a curated directory that helps people discover and compare AI tools by category, use case, and features.

This idea came out of my own frustration.

I’ve always been fascinated by AI, but trying to find the right tools — whether it’s for content creation, automation, or customer service — felt like navigating a maze. I’d jump between Product Hunt, Twitter threads, Reddit posts, and Notion lists, only to end up with 50 tabs open and more confusion than clarity.

That’s when I thought: What if there was one clean place to organize them all?

Early Days, Small Wins

I launched the site quietly and just started submitting it to AI directories, startup platforms, and developer communities. Places like:

• StackShare

• SaaSHub

• AlternativeTo

• Indie Hackers (of course!)

• More AI-specific directories

I’ve begun writing and publishing detailed reviews, and working on SEO the long, manual way: one backlink and keyword at a time.

Right now, traffic is low but steady. I’ve started seeing the first signs of traction — some referral clicks, early user feedback, and affiliate performance starting to take shape.

What’s Next?

This is a long-term project for me. My focus now is:

• Publishing better, deeper reviews

• Adding side-by-side comparison tools

• Enabling user-submitted tools (with moderation)

• Building a consistent growth engine through SEO and partnerships

If you're building in the AI space or working on an indie project — I’d love to connect, exchange notes, and learn from your experience.
