findn
Naming is hard, we make it simpler.
Although the concept was working locally I also wanted to put it online and noticed a few hurdles (I've updated the blog post and described them there). Overall I was able to deploy my PoC, add some clean UI to it, fix performance issues, and add social Github login mostly to track how many users would end up using it.
I've done some research and decided to gather everything I've learned in the form of the blog post (https://ignacy.co/naming-is-hard). I've tried to reuse my knowledge from web development and machine learning, read two interesting whitepapers (as obviously, I was not the first to come up with that idea). It all resulted in a (clunky) proof of concept working locally.

I came up with the idea for findn when I got stuck (not for the first time) trying to find a good word for naming a class in one of my projects. I thought about a page where I can put a proposal and it would return me a list of synonyms based on what other programmers have chosen.

Needed something simple to check synonyms for things I need to name in the code against thousands of open source code bases and see if someone came up with a better name already.
