🚀 Building FitCircle – A Fitness App That Fixes the Biggest Problem in Fitness

Most fitness apps today focus on tracking workouts.

But the real problem in fitness isn’t tracking.

It’s consistency.

People start their fitness journey motivated… but quit after a few weeks because they feel alone, bored, or unaccountable.

So I started building FitCircle.

FitCircle is a social fitness platform designed to keep people consistent with their workouts through community and accountability.

Here’s what makes it different:

🔥 Social Accountability

Users can share workouts, progress, and stay motivated with others.

🤖 AI Workout Coach

Get AI-generated workouts based on goals and fitness level.

🏆 Challenges

Join community challenges to stay consistent and compete with friends.

📊 Progress Tracking

Track workouts, streaks, and fitness growth.

⌚ Wearable + Health Integration (Coming Soon)

Integration with health trackers to automatically log activity.

Why I’m building this

While working on this project I realized something:

Most people don’t fail because they don’t know exercises.

They fail because they lack motivation and accountability.

Fitness should feel like a community, not a lonely activity.

That’s the core idea behind FitCircle.

Current Status

• MVP built

• AI workout generation working

• Camera-based rep tracking implemented

• Social features and challenges in development

• Migrating backend to Supabase

---

My Goal

I want FitCircle to become a place where people push each other to stay consistent in their fitness journey.

Not just another workout tracker.

I’d love feedback from the Indie Hackers community:

• Would you use a social fitness app like this?

• What feature would make you open a fitness app every day?

Let me know your thoughts! 💪

March 8, 2026 Anyone else get bored with most fitness apps?

I’ve been trying to stay consistent with workouts but most fitness apps get boring after a few weeks. They usually just show static exercises and that’s it. Are there any apps that make fitness more interactive or social? I’m curious if anyone here uses apps that help with accountability, tracking, or motivation. What’s been working for you?

About

I started working on FitCircle because most fitness apps feel boring and isolating. People start their fitness journey with motivation but often quit after a few weeks because they lack accountability and community.
