Starting our launch journey!
Web app ready!
Android app ready!
iOS in review!
Starting to try and get our name out there! Launching on product hunt and across a number of other websites we've been recommended!
Submitted the iOS app for approval to the app store.
Apple reviewed it and responded within 24 hours saying my app wasn't 'app-like' enough and that using location, push notifications or other core services wasn't enough to make it app like.
So I've reworked the app and started integrating with Apple HealthKit.

Maybe it could help to take advantage of more native UI components? Buttons, tab bar, navigation, animations? That could help achieve the "app" feel. (I'm assuming there's a design component to their claim.)
Also, it's worth trying to resubmit if you think their review was incorrect. I've had tiny updates rejected for confusing reasons and sometimes you just need to submit again and get a different reviewer.

Thanks @mattkandler! I purposely made website and the app the same, so everyone would have the same experience. In the end added a step counter feature for the iOS app, so it could get through approval, which worked :D

Our App got approved and is live on the app store!
This is the first app I've ever got out on the app store, so its a major achievement for me and means its even easier to access Fittr Pro!!
It was a lot harder to generate screen shots for the app store than I first thought however!
Check it out! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fittr.pro.pwa

Got approved for Beta testing outside of internal users on the app store.
Using a Cordova wrapper for the website again, so I can keep it easily maintainable but give the benefits of an app.
Hoping to have both apps ready to launch by the end of the week!

Created a Trusted Web Activity App for Android and launched this for Internal Testing on the Google Play Store.
This loads up the website but inside an app, so you get the best of both worlds, while keeping a slim code base to maintain.
It also means we benefit from the discover-ability of an app store!

I'd been working on a few iterations of the website and admittedly got too distracted with the technical implementation of it so took a lot longer than I initially planned.
Its built as a Progressive Web App designed to be fast and install able on devices, as well as handle gym WiFi connectivity.

Fittr Pro exists because I know how hard it is to stay motivated with your fitness goals and that its easy to just go through the motions in the gym and not make the most of your time.
