With very little promotion and no paid advertising, reached 100 subscribers for FixMyGrowth.com in two weeks.

What worked?

Comment marketing

• Most of the subscribers came from Indiehackers by answering growth-related questions
• Participated in a few niche newsletter forums doing the same

Social Media

• Shared growth tips on Twitter and LinkedIn

What's next?

• SEO, I have put zero time into it (blogging)
• Boost social media engagement
• Partnership Marketing (v2)

What didn't work?

• Partnership outreach (cross-promotion). Need to revise the approach. The concept was I'll promote you, you promote me.

Finally pulled the trigger - FixMyGrowth.com is now live and ready for you. I’m sharing my customer growth tips I learned over the last 20 years.

Would love your feedback on the landing page. Lots more to do but excited to share it and learn from you.

Learned a lot along the way:
-- Some light coding (I'm a none technical founder)
-- Webhosting set-up (made a few mistakes)
-- Web design, Elementor, and Pabbly Connect

Just one more tweak to the landing page.

I had a dose of my own medicine from my advisor last week. More on that in a minute.

I've built a number of Saas and e-commerce products over the last 20 years. Learned a lot. And advised numerous start-ups along the way. Telling them you will never reach perfection.

For some reason, my latest project, FixMyGrowth.com, I am delaying the launch - playing mind games and searching for perfection.

I have weekly meetings with an advisor, who finally said "Ship it." He said, "Do you really need that now?" "How much is enough?", "Get the product in the hands of users so they can help guide the journey", "Stop spending so much time in one direction, you don't even know yet if that is the right direction."

Everything I tell start-ups. Everything in my gut I knew was right!

If you're building alone, find someone you trust that can share the journey with you and will tell you to "ship it!"

Updated my LinkedIn profile to include Fix My Growth - I guess now it's official. The profile update yielded a good number of subscribers. But it wasn't without a few glitches of course. On IH, been hearing some flavor of this, "I’m not a marketer. I don’t even know where to start. I have no idea what I should be doing." I've been where you have been - a dream and no to little marketing budget. I'm fed up with the awful information by "experts" who don't share details, their growth solution is paid advertising and the content is filled with affiliate links. I have over 20 years in growth marketing in some of the most competitive industries - and I have the grey hair to prove it!
