Flaghub
Easy to integrate and comprehensive feature flag management
🧠 The Inception
The project's inception was sparked by a conversation over a meeting, where frustration with existing feature flagging solutions was shared. The need for a more user-friendly interface, combined with a desire to address the inherent complexities of feature flag management, set the wheels in motion for Flaghub's development.
✍️ Defining the MVP
Rather than taking on the monumental task of building a fully-featured product from scratch, the decision was made to create a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to address the core issues of feature flag management. The MVP would serve as the foundation for Flaghub's future growth and enhancements. The MVP included:
- Basic feature flag handling
- API integration
- Multi-users environment
- Basic documentation
👨💻 The Development Phase
The development phase involved intense coding and collaboration. I was responsible for crafting an intuitive and visually appealing user interface, while my colleague focused on building a robust infrastructure to handle feature flags efficiently. Countless hours were devoted to coding, refining, and shaping the platform.
📢 The launch & continuous improvement
After the initial version was ready, the focus remained on enhancing Flaghub but based on user feedback. We're currently at a point where we can pretty much build anything but we're waiting for beta testers to tell us which area should be improved and which features should come after.
