Development Infrastructure for AI Agents

April 26, 2026 Why generating code isn't enough to ship your MVP (and what we built instead)

At some point in the last year, you probably sat down with an AI coding tool, typed out a problem, and watched it produce something that actually looked right. Maybe it even impressed you. And then you had to go set up the environment yourself, untangle the dependency conflicts yourself, figure out the deployment yourself, and by the time you were done, the momentum was already gone.

That's the gap nobody's really talking about.

The tools are genuinely good at generation. But generation and execution aren't the same thing, and somewhere between "here's your code" and "here's your running app," everything falls apart. The infra still needs configuring. The servers still need standing up. The ops still sit on your plate. AI writes the recipe and hands you a raw kitchen.

We ran into this repeatedly, not just with our own projects, but watching other builders hit the same wall. You'd have a solid idea, real momentum, and then spend three days debugging a Docker config that had nothing to do with what you actually wanted to build. The idea doesn't die dramatically. It just slows. And slowing is often enough.

So we built Fleeks.

The core idea is simple: AI should be able to do more than suggest. It should be able to run. Fleeks is the cloud infrastructure layer that lets AI actually execute, spin up environments, use tools, handle deployments, so the gap between generated code and a shipped product closes to something you can actually work with.

It's built for developers, solo founders, indie hackers. Anyone tired of the workflow where AI does the interesting part and you do the plumbing. We're not trying to be another autocomplete. We want to be the thing that runs.

Genuinely curious where people are at with this. What part of your build cycle does AI still push back onto you? Deployment, environment setup, something more specific? Drop it below, we're building for those exact moments and want to hear them.

About

Built Fleeks for developers and builders who were tired of AI giving suggestions, code snippets, and half-finished outputs while all the real execution still stayed on them. Fleeks is the missing execution layer for AI.
