I kept finding myself in the same situation – standing in a thrift store or clearing out my apartment, holding something and having no idea if it was worth anything.

The usual solution was to search eBay, scroll through listings, try to find something similar and guess. It worked, but it was slow and imprecise.

So I built Flipit. You take a photo of any secondhand item and AI identifies it and estimates what it actually sells for on your local market. One scan, a few seconds, done.

I built it as a solo founder using Claude for the AI, Supabase for the backend, Expo for React Native and RevenueCat for payments. iOS is live now, Android is under review.

Free tier gives you 3 scans per day so anyone can try it without paying anything.
