FlipTip AI
Instantly identify and value flea market finds.
Hey Indie Hackers! 👋
As someone who loves going to flea markets, thrift stores, and garage sales, I always ran into the same frustrating problem: seeing an item and not knowing its true resale value.
Pulling out my phone, typing out a description, and scrolling through eBay or Google takes too long—especially when you need to make a quick decision before someone else grabs the item.
To solve my own problem, I built FlipTip AI.
It’s a straightforward web tool for resellers and thrifters. You just snap a photo of an item, and the AI instantly identifies it and pulls up an estimated resale value. It eliminates the manual searching and helps you spot hidden gems on the fly.
Since I'm a solo dev and bootstrapping this project, I'd absolutely love to get some feedback from this community:
Try scanning an item around your desk—how accurate is the result for you?
What features would make this a "must-have" for someone doing e-commerce or reselling?
Check it out here: https://fliptip.ai
Thanks for taking a look, and I'm happy to answer any questions about the tech stack or how I built it! 🚀
