Float Browse
A Floating Always on top web browser for Mac
Hi everyone! 👋
I’ve developed a tiny floating web browser for macOS—a quick-access tool you can summon instantly with a shortcut key, even while in full-screen mode. It’s built with SwiftUI + AppKit + WebKit and inspired by the floating functionality of the ChatGPT Mac app.
The motivation behind this app: I noticed that most existing solutions were too cluttered, with features buried inside submenus of submenus in the Mac menu bar. I wanted to create a browser with a clean, minimal UI that’s intuitive and distraction-free.
Key features:
Global hotkey (Command + M) for instant access
Sleek, minimal floating UI
Always-on-top mode
Support Downloads
History
Clipboard
Multiple Tabs
I’m looking for beta testers to try it out and provide feedback. If you value simplicity, speed, and a smooth workflow on macOS, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
