Flock is a tool for Twitter power users.
Flock is a relationship manager built on Twitter. We've been quietly beta testing viewing Unfollowers and we're finally done! It actually turned out to be one of our most retentive features: people love it and the announcement seems to have driven a large number of signups on its own.
Our idea was that this would be very useful for brands trying to know who to re-engage in the event of an unfollow. Next up we're actually going to raise prices in the coming weeks; we're going to grandfather everyone at the price they signed up at– but we suspect we are charging way too little given the feedback we've been getting.

It's been alive for about 1.5 months now, and I'm thrilled that 128 people want to follow the twitter account (@flocknet) for updates and information about the service.
I've even had angel investors and VC's who are interested in the service reach out for calls to give feature requests. Crazy!

Today, I've hit my first 50, non-churned regular paying monthly subscribers! In total, including churned trial users I'm closer to ~100, and including all signups closer to ~400– but this is a big milestone for me because it represents the first 50 people that actually pay for the service itself even after their trial expires.

Since it's inception an outsize amount of work has gone into making syncing both fast and stable. This is tricker than it sounds when dealing with a combination of Twitter API Rate Limits and accounts with 100k-900k followers.
I'm so excited that after many weeks of trial and error I have a solution that is both fast and extremely stable. It handles accounts with hundreds of thousands of snapshots that need to be synced in parallel with no trouble at all now. This is important because of all the brands that've expressed interest in signing up.
This also means most of my time developing this side project can now be spent on feature development instead of worrying about sync stability on this data pipeline.

It's been a little over a month since I've started this side project while freelancing and working on my main project. I'm excited to announce that Flock has passed 360 total signups. A very high percentage of those signups converted into either trialing or monthly paying subscribers. I'll be ready to share those numbers more once I hit a personal milestone.
