Why I Create FlowChart AI
I created Flowchart AI because I often found myself needing to quickly sketch out ideas, logic flows, or product structures — but existing tools were either too slow, too complex, or lacked AI assistance.
With the rise of large language models, I saw an opportunity to simplify the process of creating flowcharts using natural language.
Flowchart AI exists to empower makers, developers, and educators to visualize their thinking in seconds — without needing design skills or wasting time on manual layout. It’s fast, open-source, and built for the AI-native era.

Big fan of tools that respect makers’ time...
Love this idea! Honestly, I run into the same problem all the time—just want to map out logic or a quick process, but most tools are too slow or fiddly.
The natural language to flowchart feature is exactly what a lot of us need, especially for explaining workflows to clients or mapping project research steps. (And not having to deal with manual layout is a huge win!)
Going to try it out for my next client doc. Are there any plans to support export to PNG/PDF for sharing?

I plan to implement multi-format export support over the weekend, and at the latest, it should be ready sometime next week. To be honest, I haven’t specifically tested it against very complex branching logic or deeply nested flows. That said, the output largely depends on the AI’s understanding of your input. In theory, it should handle moderately complex flows quite well, but I’d love to see how far you can push it too.

Yes, there is a free trial! You can use the tool once without registration, and if you register for a free account, you can generate one flowchart per day. We do offer a free version for everyone.
Also, this project is fully open-sourced on GitHub, so feel free to fork, self-host, or even modify it as you wish
