Fluent Forms is now powering 300K+ websites

We've hit a major milestone at for Fluent Forms - 300,000+ active installs in just over 5 years! As indie hacker, we're proud to share our journey and how we got here.

It all started in January 2018 when we launched Fluent Forms as a free WordPress plugin. But after only getting 700+ active installs in the first year, we felt discouraged. We knew we had to rebuild the whole UI and make some buzz in the marketing area to succeed. And we did! 🚀

In 2019, we saw a significant jump in growth, reaching 5,000 active installs by the end of that year. But the real growth was yet to come. By January 2020, we had reached 10,000 active installs, and things really started to pick up from there. We hit 20,000 installs in May 2020, and by the end of that year, we had reached an impressive 50,000 active installs.

The momentum continued in 2021, with Fluent Forms hitting 80,000 installs by June, and then reaching a whopping 100,000 active installs by the end of July. From 0 to 100K users took us 42 months, but the last 100K only took 8 months! 🚀

One thing I learned in this journey is to make the product as easy & simple as possible for the users and make sure of the distribution.

    Great milestone Jewel.

Curious to know - WPManageNinja is now a company with 30+ in the team but when you started out January 2018, did you build it solo or you had a wordpress team (agency) already running?

Currently, we have around 90+ team members and we are building and managing a few other projects. When we started it then we only had 3 members in total.

Thanks for the response. Very inspiring! More milestones to come. 👏
