Flunis
English Learning App with AI Conversation.
Backstory: I'm from South America. Studied English for 15+ years between school, institutes, and apps. Got decent at reading and grammar, but when I had to actually speak with someone, I froze. A very common story for adult learners in non-English-speaking countries. After 6 months of nights and weekends, I launched Flunis today. It has two parts: 1. Structured A1–C2 courses — progressive material for grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening, writing 2. AI conversation practice — talk to a tutor that adapts to your level and corrects you naturally.
Tech stack: Next.js 14, TypeScript, Supabase, Tailwind, Claude (LLM), ElevenLabs (voice).
What's not done yet:
- Mobile CSS has rough edges (fixing this week)
- Payment provider still in final review. Beta is free for now.
- No native mobile app, just web (PWA on the roadmap).
Looking for feedback, especially from:
- Other adult English learners who can tell me if this solves the "studied but can't speak" problem
- Founders who've dealt with MoR / compliance reviews - Anyone who's built conversational AI and has voice cost war stories
