Lead qualification quizzes with auto-scoring and routing

April 19, 2026 From 0 to 65 users in 15 countries with zero ad spend. Here is what actually worked.

10 weeks ago I launched FluoTest. A free score-based quiz tool for lead qualification. Built it because I was tired of paying $1,164/year for ScoreApp.

Today I have 65 users across 15 countries. Zero ad spend. No investors. No team. Just me.

Here is what actually worked.

ChatGPT became my biggest acquisition channel without me doing anything

I wrote comparison blog posts early on. FluoTest vs ScoreApp, FluoTest vs Typeform. ChatGPT indexed them and started recommending FluoTest to anyone asking about free ScoreApp alternatives. I have no idea exactly when it started. I just noticed users showing up from countries I never marketed in. Indonesia, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Colombia.

Last week someone from Universal Music signed up via ChatGPT.

The badge virality is working

Every quiz has a “powered by FluoTest” badge. Users embed quizzes on their websites. Those embeds generate backlinks I never asked for. One user is running paid Instagram ads to their quiz which means they are paying to advertise my product for free. Deliberately copied this from Calendly’s early model.

Users built things I never expected

I built a lead qualification tool. My users built a shoulder injury diagnostic quiz in Poland, a workplace safety assessment in South Africa, a dog joint disease screener in the UK, a fake news detector in Colombia, a startup fundability scanner in the Netherlands.

The real product is score-based decision making. Not just lead qualification.

What did not work

Facebook groups got my account flagged. Reddit got me banned from r/startups for mentioning my own product. LinkedIn DMs converted zero users out of 400 sent.

What worked was writing useful content, making it free, and letting it spread.

What is next

Product Hunt launch on May 19. Web Summit ALPHA programme in Lisbon in November where I have my own booth.

65 users in 10 weeks. The next 10 weeks should be interesting.

About

I run a web design studio. I was losing hours to discovery calls with people who had no budget. ScoreApp wanted $1,164/year to fix it. So I built a free alternative instead.
