July 23, 2026 Every email makes an impression. Most are making a bad one, so I built a 30-second fix.

Day job is group CISO/CIO for a holding group with around 30 SaaS companies. So I'm the guy every signature tool vendor eventually has to get past. And for years I kept rejecting all of them. Not because the signatures were ugly. Because the access they wanted was insane. OAuth into the whole Google Workspace. Outlook add-ins with mailbox permissions. Upload your entire employee list before you see anything. All that to generate a block of HTML.

At some point I got tired of writing "rejected, disproportionate data access" and asked myself why the boring version doesn't exist. A tool my own security team would approve. So I built it.

Wren, flywithwren.com. Pick a template, type your details, copy, paste into Gmail or Outlook. Done in about 30 seconds. No account, no OAuth, no email capture, nothing stored. Free for individuals. Flat 99 usd/mo if a company wants to manage signatures for the whole team, because per-seat pricing in this category is a bit of a scam.

Built it in under two weeks, nights and weekends, heavy use of AI tooling. That speed is only possible because the product deliberately does less. Doing less is the feature.

Status right now, fully honest: live for two weeks, a handful of signups, 0 in MRR, running small ad experiments to learn which keywords carry actual buying intent. Product Hunt launch early August. The product part was easy. Distribution is the real boss fight, same as always.

One question if you've sold to HR or People Ops: the buyer here is whoever sends the "please update your email signature" email, usually People Ops at a 20 to 200 person company. Where did you actually reach those people, outside of grinding LinkedIn?

I'm curious what convinced you security is the buying trigger rather than the simplicity of the product itself.

From the conversations you've had so far, do People Ops teams react more strongly to "no OAuth and no data access," or to the fact they can standardize signatures in minutes without another IT project?
