Publish your Foambubble notes with privacy

June 7, 2023 And so another side-project begins!

I use Foam to organize my ideas. It's pretty awesome: open-source, built on Visual Studio Code, and laden with goodies.

It transforms your tangled thoughts into an interactive graph, revealing their connections.

For developers, it's perfect as it's right on the tool you're already using!

There's one problem though: you can only publish your notes on GitHub Pages. That's a problem. 99% of my notes are private and only 1% are public, so I wanted to have some control over what goes out and what is for my eyes only.

So I decided to scratch my own itch and on a little script to do that. Basically, I want to add a #private tag to the notes I don't want to publish. Kinda like FrontMatter, but leveraging Foam's features.

And here we go again!

About

I use Foambubble as my personal idea organizer and want to publish some online. But because some of them I private, I wanted some auth controls.
