Folio

Next.js portfolio template for designers & developers

July 22, 2026 I shipped my first digital product: a Next.js portfolio template

Yesterday (well, recently) I shipped my first product I actually sell online.

It's called Folio — a Next.js portfolio & case study template for designers and developers. Dark/light mode, project case studies with results, a working contact form, SEO bits, and all content in a few typed data files (no CMS).

Live demo: https://folio-starter.vercel.app

Buy: https://milojensson.gumroad.com/l/folio-nextjs-portfolio ($39)

Why I built it

I kept seeing portfolio starters that look nice in screenshots but are annoying to personalize — or they need a CMS for what should be a simple personal site. I wanted something a buyer can edit in ~15 minutes and deploy free on Vercel.

What's inside

• Home, Work, Case study pages, About, Contact

• Static generation (fast, cheap hosting)

• Next.js + React + TypeScript + Tailwind v4

What I'm learning so far

Building the product was the easy part. Distribution is the real work: Gumroad listing, directories, demo CTA, waiting on another store for approval. Sales are at $0 so far — which is fine; I'm treating this as the start of a small template catalog (SaaS landing, agency site, local business next).

If you've sold templates or info products: what actually brought your first 5 customers? Directories? Twitter? Indie Hackers? Something else?

Happy to answer questions about the stack or the launch process.

About

I wanted a portfolio template that felt ready to sell — case studies with results, dark/light mode, a working contact form, and content that lives in a few data files instead of a CMS.
