July 12, 2026 Folio Poster is live: a simpler way to make scientific posters

Today I launched Folio Poster, a focused editor for scientific conference posters.

Researchers often know their content, but still lose time forcing it into PowerPoint the night before a conference. Folio Poster starts from a clear structure, turns the content into readable sections, supports figures and QR codes, and exports a print-ready PDF.

The first public release includes visual templates, A0, A1 and A2 formats, portrait and landscape layouts, free previews, and an interactive checklist to catch structure, readability and printing issues before export.

It is live at https://poster.foliostudio.app/en

I would love honest feedback from anyone who has made a research poster recently.

I like that you're optimizing for the workflow instead of recreating a presentation tool.

Researchers don't need more design freedom—they need a faster path from finished research to a poster that's easy to read at a conference.

Exactly, that’s the bet behind Folio Poster. Once the research is done, creating the poster should feel like a guided publishing step, not another design project. The goal is to reach a clear, conference-ready result quickly, with just enough flexibility for final adjustments. Thanks for putting it so clearly.

That’s a useful way to frame it. The guided publishing step seems like the part that could make Folio Poster meaningfully different from a general design tool.
