Live football (soccer) scores from your macOS menubar
In addition to the timeline of the events, now there is an extra panel providing a summary of the match.
Having just the timeline felt a bit underwhelming. You just couldn't understand who has the upper hand. WIth the timeline statistics, it's easier to get the idea of what's going on. Pretty excited about this new feature!
Finally, I introduced a dark theme. It really irked me that I didn't have one from the start.
Thankfully I found the time to do a bit of a UI overhaul, and I'm pretty happy with the results. Removed some spaghetti CSS code, and now everything feels just perfect.

Lessons learned the app is now available outside the Apple Store. I decided to use Gumroad for distribution. It just feels nice. I don't get to set up a license manager, or configure an external CRM.
WIth the availability out of the question, time to improve stuff.

Sudden realization, App store didn't offer subscriptions out of the box. I incorrectly assumed that it did, but instead, my app was up for 1-time purchases. Quickly removed it and prepared it for sale on Gumroad. Oh my, licenses, losing organic traffic, notarizing the app, so much stuff to do!

After lots of modifications, I finally released it in the store. What a day. My first paid application is available for sale. That being said. not too happy with Apple's commission rates as well as the state of the dashboard. But why be negative now?

The MVP is done. Finally, it's time to pull the trigger and get this rolling. The process to get all the certificates done, as well as getting Electron to comply with Apple's requirements was a pain. But here we are. 'Waiting for review' - hoping to get this before the end of the year!

So much to do!
Working on the API first. Evaluating the service that gets me the live scores.
Then moving on to the client. It will be Electron with React.
But I need some designs too, using Balsamiq to get a rough sketch of what I want. As for the planning, Trello will suffice. Officially moving it from a card on the side-projects board to a board of its own!

I spend most of my time working on my computer. I wanted a simple solution so that I could check football matches that interested me, without losing myself on the web.
