ForeignOwnedLLC
Built for Foreign Founders. Designed for US Compliance.
When non-US founders open a US LLC, the focus is usually on getting the EIN, opening a bank account, and connecting Stripe.
Once that is done, most people think they are finished.
But even if your LLC made zero income, foreign-owned single-member LLCs still have an annual federal filing requirement.
Miss it and penalties start at $25,000.
What surprised me is how rarely this gets explained properly during formation. Most services help you set up. Very few talk about what happens every year after.
I kept seeing the same pattern. Founder opens LLC. Runs business. Assumes no income means no filing. Finds out later there is still a required annual return.
Most people either pay a CPA a lot of money, try to figure it out from IRS PDFs, use terrible services where you pay per PDF generated or ignore it and hope it never becomes an issue.
After seeing this over and over, I built a compliance tool specifically for foreign-owned US LLCs. It tracks deadlines, structures reportable amounts properly, and generates the required annual federal documents from your data. These include the 5472 + 1120 Pro Forma for single member LLCs, and also the SS4 for an EIN.
Curious how others here are handling this.
If you are a non-US founder with a US LLC, are you using a CPA, doing it yourself, or something else?
About
Anyone who owns a foreign US LLC (many of us) need to annually submit their 5472 + 1120 Pro Forma. As there are no good tools / to save thousands on CPA costs I built my own tool.
