Hey IndieHackers! I'm thrilled to share that Formshare.ai, has surpassed 100 users in its first week since launching. This is a huge milestone for me, and I wanted to share my experience with the community.

First, a bit of background: Formshare is a tool that helps you create conversational AI forms and share them for free. The tool was built with the ChatBotKit SDK, and we decided to do a soft launch to test the waters and get some initial feedback.

I have to admit, I was nervous about putting the project out there but the response has been great so far!

In one week, 690 people landed on the website, and about 16% of them were interested enough to sign up and try it out. That's a conversion rate that I'm really happy with, especially considering that we didn't do any paid advertising or major marketing push.

So, what worked? Well, I have to give a huge shout-out to @bentossell and his newsletter, Ben's Bites. Half of the users came from his newsletter, and it gave Formshare.ai the initial traction it needed to get off the ground.

Another big push came from the ChatBotKit announcement email. Chatbotkit has a huge following, and the announcement brought in the other half of the users, including some big brands.

I've also been more active on X, and I can see that there's a small but noticeable impact on sign-ups. It just goes to show that every little bit helps, and consistency is key.

Of course, not everything worked out as planned. I tried posting on Hacker News, but it didn't generate much interest. Maybe my approach wasn't quite right, or maybe the timing was off.

I also posted on a couple of AI directories, but I didn't see any results from those either. It's possible that the paid ones are worth exploring in the future, but for now, I'm focusing on other channels.

So, what's next for Formshare?

Well, I'm planning to engage with Reddit communities to get more feedback and insights from potential users.

I'm also exploring the idea of creating short-form content for TikTok and Instagram Reels.

Facebook groups are a bit of an untapped market, so I might look into that as well.

Overall, I'm thrilled with the results of the launch, and I'm excited to keep building and growing.
