Formware
Create forms for free, best alternative to Typeform
I'm running a growing Slack community called CoHack β it's a space for indie hackers and builders using AI to move faster in their work.
We just partnered with Furlough, a large startup community, and weβre nominating CoHack members to speak at two upcoming AI events:
π οΈ Workshop β Live demo or automation build (Make, n8n, etc.)
π§ Webinar β 30-min talk on how you're using AI in your product or workflow
This opportunity is only open to CoHack members.
If you're building something cool and want to be considered, join the Slack community and check #general or your Slack DM for the next steps.
π Join CoHack β https://www.cohack.xyz
Let me know if you have any questions or want feedback on a potential topic!
I started a Slack group a few weeks ago for people building products with AI β solo founders, designers, PMs, and devs.
We're now at 75 members. People are legit β they're working on products, exploring workflows, using AI to build smarter.
But here's the truth: most days are pretty quiet. There's not a lot of chatter, and that's okay.
I'm still building. Still growing it, 1 person at a time. Because the value isn't in noise β it's in the quality of people, and what this space could become with the right folks in it.
If you're building with AI and want a space to learn from others, share quietly, or just listen β we'd love to have you.

Love this approach - quality over quantity always wins. Thoughtful builders with AI will love to join and connect with others. Thanks for making space!

Apart from Indie Hackers, which other channels are you using to attract new members?

Hey, I'm using Linkedin, X and other similar communities on slack and discord.

Do you think itβs helped your business overall?

Yes, for sure. The tools shared by the members are very helpful and you get to learn something new. For eg. one person had shared an AI powered landing page audit tool which caught 2 bugs in my website. There are many more examples like this within the community.

Itβs a mix of founders, designers, PMs, and devs β all trying to use AI to move faster, automate parts of their workflow, or just build cool stuff with smaller teams.
Still early days, but the conversations are starting to happen:
β’ a few shared tools
β’ workflows being tested
β’ quiet builders showing up
If you (or someone you know) is building with AI in any way β come join us:

Itβs casual, low-noise, and full of people figuring things out together.
Happy to answer any Qs in the thread too.

Love this, Dhruv β really admire the low-noise, high-signal approach. These kinds of spaces are gold for early builders trying to move fast with AI.
Iβm currently building CompliAssistant β an AI-powered compliance assistant focused on HIPAA for now. Itβs been fascinating to see how much manual work in the compliance space can be streamlined with AI.
Would be great to connect with others navigating AI in sensitive or regulated environments too. Just joined the Slack β looking forward to learning and sharing!

that's nice
Last week, I kicked off https://cohack.xyz - a Slack group for indie AI tool builders β solo founders, engineers, and hackers experimenting with LLMs.
To collect signups, I used a form tool I've been building myself β instead of other popular tools. Here's why:
- It shows one question at a time for a smoother experience
- It saves partial responses, which really helps reduce drop-offs
- It looks clean and distraction-free β which feels more inviting for a focused community
Here's the form I've been using:
π https://share.formware.io/r/683ab269643d7f91013a7c88
It's brought in 25+ strong members already β people building AI-powered feedback tools, dev workflows, and micro-SaaS projects. Keeping the form short helped increase completion, and the partial save has let me follow up with folks who didn't finish.
If you're thinking of starting a community or collecting feedback, feel free to check out the tool I'm building: https://formware.io
Always happy to chat about AI, forms, or indie building in general!
After a few relentless months of building, Formware.io is finally out of the factory and ready to brace the real world.
What is Formware
Simply put, it is a like-for-like substitute to Typeform, with the exact same UI/UX in the form builder and the fully responsive forms. The biggest catch is the price. Formware let's user capture UNLIMITED responses for FREE.
Is it any good?
While the feature parity with Typeform is yet to be achieved, the current platform offers users to create any type of form with a vast library of built-in question types, along with the ability to add custom themes.
It is possible to collect and view partial responses, fully customise end pages, add UTM tracking and much more.
How much am I saving per month?
Any typical Typeform user would be paying at $25/month and in most cases, the figure would be at $50/month, if not higher.
Since, Formware is free to use, the cost per month will essentially reduce to $0/month. For those who need advanced features, there is a PRO plan at $29.99, which is still substantially cheaper than Typeform.
