A public wall for indie hackers to pin their chaos

June 9, 2025 Tired of fake build in public so I built FoundersWall

Hey folks,

Over the last few months I’ve been building without code using AI and design. Before that, I was just a blogger. Now I’m deep into indie hacking.

But one thing kept bothering me “build in public” on X started feeling like a performance.

Everyone drops their links under some thread, gets a few “awesome” comments, and… that’s it. It goes nowhere. Feels empty.

I built a couple products that went nowhere too. Tried to reverse-engineer the big builders. Saw a pattern everyone’s shipping to launch directories, trying to get seen. I even started building one myself.

But midway through, it hit me that’s not what I need.

What I need is to show up, consistently, somewhere that actually feels human.

So I made FoundersWall.com.

It’s not another feed. It’s a messy public wall.

Each builder gets a personal timeline to pin their journey shipped features, rewrites, rants, even abandoned stuff.

No growth hacks. No likes. Just proof you’re building.

Just added a small thing called Launch Alliance you pin your upcoming launch, others back you. You do the same for them later. Simple visibility loop. No fluff.

It’s picking up among early builders who are tired of the performative game.

Would love to hear what you think.

Because I needed it & I knew I wasn’t the only one. I was tired of pretending that build in public meant anything anymore. It became a game, tweet a shiny feature, throw in a hook, beg for feedback that never lands.
