Score Upwork jobs, draft AI proposals, track your income
After a shoulder injury ended the work I'd been doing, I spent months applying for data analyst roles with no callbacks. Bidding on Upwork was the bridge, and I did it badly for a long time: no system, no way to tell a bad week from a bad pattern.
FreelanceFlow is what I built to fix that. Job scoring, AI proposal drafting against my real portfolio, connect tracking, one Sheet, $47 one time.
It launched three weeks ago as Benchline Analytics' first self-serve product. It won't be the last.
No system, no tracking, just gut instinct on which jobs were worth my connects and which proposals actually had a shot. Some weeks I landed a good contract. Most weeks I burned connects on jobs I was never going to win, and didn't find out why until it was too late to fix.
So I built the system I wished existed.
FreelanceFlow is a Google Sheet that runs your entire Upwork pipeline: scoring, proposals, bidding, and revenue tracking, all in one place you already own.
Log a job, and it scores across ten factors, tool fit, experience match, competition, budget, and more, then hands you a clear call: Apply, Hold, or Skip. For anything worth applying to, it drafts your proposal with AI, referencing your real portfolio projects and that specific job post, not a generic template. Before you send, it walks you through logging the competing bids and tells you whether to bid in at all, and drafts answers to any screening questions. Once you're hired, it tracks milestones or hours automatically, closes out revenue when a contract completes, and gives you a dashboard showing what's actually working: which keywords convert, which competition levels are worth fighting for, where your time is really going.
I built this because I was tired of freelancing on instinct, and because everything else out there wanted a monthly subscription or assumed I already had a system in place. FreelanceFlow doesn't. It's a Google Sheet you own outright. No subscription, no lock-in.

The shift from helping people write proposals to helping them decide which jobs deserve a proposal is what caught my attention.
That feels like a much stronger problem to own.

That's exactly the shift for me too. I used to think a better proposal was the fix, but plenty of jobs were never winnable no matter how good the pitch was. Once I started scoring the job itself instead of polishing the proposal, I stopped wasting connects on stuff that was a bad fit from the start. Appreciate you catching that, it's the part I almost didn't build.
