December 2, 2025 I got tired of paying ZoomInfo, so I built my own Lead Engine (Python + n8n)

Hey IndieHackers,

I run a small agency and I hated paying monthly subscriptions for lead data. The data was often stale, and the tools (Apollo/ZoomInfo) were overkill for my needs.

I realized all the data I needed was public (YellowPages), I just needed a way to get it efficiently.

So I built my own solution: I wrote a custom Python script (using Playwright) to handle the scraping + an n8n workflow to clean the data and check if businesses have a website.

The Tech Stack:

  • Engine: Python (Playwright for headless browsing).

  • Orchestrator: n8n (Self-hosted desktop version).

  • Output: CSV / Google Sheets.

Results: It currently generates ~500 leads/hour. It filters for "High Value" leads (businesses with verified phones but NO website).

The "Anti-SaaS" Offer: I decided not to turn this into another monthly SaaS. Instead, I packaged the source code and workflow into a ZIP file. You buy it once, own the code forever, and run it locally.

I listed it on Gumroad for $69 (One-time).

If you are tired of monthly data fees, you can grab the code here: [LINK TO YOUR GUMROAD PRODUCT]

Let me know if you have questions about the Python logic!

For the IH community, I added a discount code 'INDIE20' for 20% off. Happy scraping!
