Free ATS-Friendly LaTeX Resume Builder
Just launched FreeLaTeXResume.com 🚀
Over the past week I've been building a free ATS-friendly LaTeX resume builder focused on software engineers and students.
The idea came from a simple frustration: great templates like Jake's Resume, Deedy CV, and Awesome CV exist, but many people have to learn Overleaf or edit LaTeX just to customize a resume.
My goal is to make the process simpler:
Pick a template
Fill in your information
Generate a professional LaTeX resume
Current stack:
Astro
Tailwind CSS
Cloudflare
So far:
Google has indexed the site
First users have visited from the US, Europe, and India
A few resumes have already been downloaded
I'm currently working on:
More resume templates
ATS-focused content
Better resume customization
I'd love feedback from anyone who has used LaTeX resumes before.
What was the most frustrating part of creating your resume?
About
FreeLaTeXResume exists to make high-quality resume templates accessible to students, developers, and job seekers who want the benefits of LaTeX without the learning curve.

One thing I'd be careful with:
The interesting question may not be whether people find LaTeX resumes frustrating.
It may be which part of that frustration is actually causing them to look for an alternative in the first place.
Those can lead to very different product decisions.
