April 27, 2025 Day 2 Update – Building From Kids With Love

Another strong day of progress! πŸš€
I'm feeling the momentum and finally seeing the project take a real shape online.

Here's what I got done today:

βœ… Set up the full domain connection from OVH to Vercel (with proper DNS, A record, CNAME).
βœ… Fixed SPA routing (no more 404 errors on subpages after adding vercel.json).
βœ… Installed SSL certificate β€” site now fully HTTPS secured.
βœ… Added basic SEO: title, meta description, Open Graph tags for better Google and social sharing visibility.
βœ… Connected Vercel Analytics to monitor real user traffic.
βœ… Fixed www to non-www redirects (SEO boost).
βœ… Built basic /auth/signin and /auth/signup pages.
βœ… Implemented simple auth guards β€” no unauthorized access to dashboard pages anymore.
βœ… Created a basic 404 Not Found page fallback.
βœ… Deployed the whole setup on my own domain β€” live and ready!

🎯 New Future Plans

Today I also realized how important content and organic growth will be.
I'm planning to add a blog to the platform β€” focused on DIY art ideas, creativity tips, handmade gift inspiration.

  • The blog will help drive organic traffic via SEO.

  • It will help build a brand around creativity and children's art.

  • It will be powered by a headless CMS for easy content updates (still deciding on Storyblok, Contentful, or another option).

I'm super excited about this because it will make From Kids With Love more than just a marketplace β€” it will be a platform that inspires and educates too.

πŸš€ Next steps:

  • Final decision: migrate fully to Nuxt or build blog separately.

  • Finish authentication flow with Supabase.

  • Prepare the basic dashboard for parents to add artworks.

Feeling good, keeping the momentum up!
Thanks for following along β€” excited to keep building. 🎯

🎨 PS:

If you're also building something around kids, education, creativity, I'd love to connect!

Love the idea. I’ve been studying kids artworks and education trends β€” it’s a hot niche. If you want a quick breakdown on market size + what others are doing right/wrong, I can send it your way.

April 26, 2025 Day 1: Domain, First Landing Page Live + Supabase Backend Connected!

Today was a huge day for From Kids With Love! πŸŽ¨πŸš€

βœ… Bought the domain (fromkidswithlove.com) β€” the brand is now officially live.
βœ… Deployed the first version of the app with Vercel (super smooth experience).
βœ… Built a clean landing page using Vue 3 + TailwindCSS β€” including a simple features grid explaining the platform’s value.
βœ… Added a favicon to polish the brand identity.
βœ… Initialized Supabase project (database, auth, storage backend).
βœ… Connected Vue 3 app to Supabase (basic environment setup + tested first queries).
βœ… Set up Google OAuth for future parent registration/login.
βœ… Waiting for DNS propagation to fully link the domain.

Biggest win:
Having a real, live product URL + a working backend feels like moving from "idea" to "reality." πŸš€ It's incredible how just two days of deep focus changes the whole momentum.

Next steps:

  • Finalize domain setup once DNS updates.

  • Start implementing authentication flows (Login, Register, Forgot Password).

  • Basic SEO (title, meta description) for the landing page.

  • Prepare simple guards for parent/admin routes in the app.

Thanks for following my journey β€” small consistent steps, every single day! πŸ™Œ

April 25, 2025 Building a new platform for children's handmade art

Hi everyone! πŸ‘‹

I'm excited to officially start documenting the development of my new project:
From Kids With Love β€” a platform where children, with the help of their parents, can showcase and sell their handmade artworks online.

🎨 What is it about?

  • Parents create an account and upload their children's handmade works (art, drawings, masks, crafts).

  • The works are reviewed and published in an online store (powered by Shopify).

  • Buyers can browse and purchase these unique pieces, supporting young creativity.

  • Earnings are collected as points and can later be withdrawn (e.g., via BLIK or other payout options).

πŸš€ My goals for the MVP:

  • Simple Parent Dashboard (upload works, view sales, manage earnings).

  • SuperAdmin Panel (review and approve works, manage users, manage sales).

  • Integration with Shopify via API (automated publishing of approved works).

  • Basic Landing Page + mobile-first design.

  • PWA support (so parents can "install" the app like a native mobile app).

πŸ› οΈ Tech Stack:

  • Frontend: Vue 3 (Composition API) + TailwindCSS (TailAdmin Starter)

  • Backend: Supabase (PostgreSQL + Auth + Storage)

  • E-commerce: Shopify API integration

  • Build Tool: Vite

  • Mobile Support: PWA (Progressive Web App)

πŸ“… Next steps:

  • Connect the frontend with Supabase (authentication and data).

  • Build the Parent Dashboard (My Works page, Add Work form).

  • Set up product upload flow to Shopify.

  • Start creating content for TikTok and Instagram to promote the platform.

πŸ’¬ Why I'm building this:
I believe that encouraging children's creativity is incredibly important.
Giving young artists a real opportunity to sell their work β€” and feel proud of it β€” can be a beautiful, empowering experience.
Plus, it's a great way for families to collaborate and support their kids' talents.

Thanks for following my journey! πŸ™Œ
I'll be sharing regular updates on the development and first user feedback.
Stay tuned! πŸš€

Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words πŸ™Œ
Right now I’m building the MVP solo, but I’d love to stay in touch β€” once I’m ready to grow the project, I’ll definitely be looking for collaborators and supporters.
Feel free to follow along here β€” I’ll post updates as things evolve!

Such a beautiful concept! Encouraging children's creativity and giving them a platform to showcase their work is truly inspiring. I love that you’re involving parents too and focusing on a safe, supportive environment. Good luck with the development – excited to see the progress!

As a new mum, I love this idea. Good luck with the project!

Thank you so much! πŸ™ It really means a lot to hear this, especially from a parent.
I'm working hard to finish the MVP β€” would love to get your feedback when it's ready!
I’ll definitely share an early version here soon. πŸš€

I think it would be cool to add the option to create cards from the kids drawings. My partner does Lino prints for birthdays cards, everyone we send them to always comment on how they love the hand-made cards.

And maybe the option to add the art to clothing, I can imagine t-shirts and hoodies would do well.

          1. 1

Love that idea β€” thank you!

I'd love to explore things like print-on-demand t-shirts or hoodies later on.
Definitely adding this to my β€œpost-MVP” list! πŸ™Œ

Wishing you success with your project! Have you thought about crowdfunding as a way to secure funding and build your audience?

    1. 1

Thanks so much for the idea! πŸ™Œ

Crowdfunding is definitely something I'm thinking about β€” the project has a strong emotional side (supporting children's creativity), so it could be a great fit.

Right now I'm focusing on getting the MVP live, but I could absolutely see crowdfunding as part of the launch plan later to build early support.

Appreciate you bringing it up β€” it’s motivating to hear other people thinking about the bigger vision too!
