December 7, 2018 Zapier to the rescue

I love Zapier and use it extensively in automatic many of the things I do to curate my newsletter - frontendweekly.co

I find articles that I like, I add them to asana using the asana chrome extension. Zapier then takes over.

It takes the title and link and sticks it in a google sheet. Then it takes the url in google sheet and run it through a url shortner (https://poplink.io/?via=emad) this adds a pop up to all my links to ask user to signup. So if one of the links goes viral, they have built-in promotion for the newsletter.

Zapier updates the google sheet with the shortened link and then sends the link to buffer which posts it to my personal twitter account, my product twitter account, my facebook page and a few other networks.

Zapier then takes the link, title and description and adds it to curated.co which is the tool i use to curate my newsletter, so when the time comes to curate, i just point and click and done.

About

It's really hard to keep up with all the front-end development news out there and I am constantly trying to find good articles to read. So I decided to curate the great articles I run into and send it as a weekly email.
