Frontpad
Automate tasks, speed up your business!
I was building Frontpad as a side hustle and realized the real opportunity is in the UI side, it's kind of crazy hard to build a web frontend these days however there are very good backend tools. For this reason, I want to use my knowledge and skills from years working in the industry to improve how we build UIs and digital products!
I am using part of Frontpad's code to create a tool focused in allowing people to create digital products faster. Stay tuned! Here is the webpage https://codeportal.io and the IndieHackers profile https://www.indiehackers.com/product/codeportal.
Frontpad lets you automate anything from busywork to complex mission-critical workflows with a powerful and scalable platform, and an easy to use and flexible no-code UI.
Being a programmer feels amazing and I want more people to feel that power. That's why I am building Frontpad!
I love software and product development, and worked with very complex systems and undertaken several technical challenges. It been great so far. However, I think the current state of the programming tools (programming languages, IDEs, libraries, etc) is too complex and sometimes unnecessarily complex for certain use cases.
I have worked with no-code automation/integration tools, and I have done those same things in code. Both have pros and cons, so, I am building Frontpad to have the best of both worlds in one tool.
I want people to have the power and flexibility of code with the easy and friendly UI of no-code tools.

Good luck Carlos! It sounds interesting, although it doesn't seem that it'll be easy to build :) If you think you can pull it off, then here's to the first million 🥂🥂🥂

Nice! This is great — best of luck. I don't want to sound critical at all, but just curious how you place to stand out among some of the big players in this space? Are you targeting a specific user or audience persona?

Great question! Yes, Frontpad is for more advanced users, people that tried Zapier and switched to Make because they needed more power. And, then maybe they are facing Make's limitations. This is very niche, but I plan to start with that market.

This sounds really interesting. It would be cool to see screenshots or a video of how it works before committing to asking for early access.

That makes sense! I will do it, thanks for the suggestion!

Good luck Carlos!
Btw I attempted a similar product a year ago. Not sure your implementation and design details but after building an mvp I found Alfred App and it basically solved a lot of my personal problems with automation better than my own mvp. I used Alfred for a week and I just ended up using it vs my mvp.
Check it out if you haven’t already.
