FTB Football Tactics Board

Hey, I'm Tolga. I work in finance in the Netherlands, and on the side I've been building FTB (Football Tactics Board), a web-first tactics board for grassroots coaches.

I started it because I coach my son's team on weekends and kept wanting a quick way to sketch a formation or explain a play. Everything I tried was either too basic (a static lineup tool with nothing else) or too heavy (full coaching suites with a price tag to match). So I built the thing I wanted: open the URL, no signup, drag players, share a link.

Quick state of the project:

• Free tier is actually useful: full board, drawing tools, formations, image export, short-link sharing

• Pro is EUR 2.49/month or 19.99/year. Cloud sync across devices, custom markers, multiple scenarios per formation, text and equipment annotations, and animated plays you can export as video

• Paddle billing went live mid-May, first paying customer the same week

• Stack: React Native + Expo (web today, Android later), Supabase, Cloudflare Pages, Paddle

I'm not a developer by training, so this whole thing has also been a long, slow lesson in actually shipping software. Plenty I'd do differently if I started today, but the product is real and people use it.
