March 9, 2020 Re-tacking a 4 years old side project

💪Today I'm taking back a side project I started 4 years ago.

My goal?

🎯Reduce it to the bare minimum.

🎯Build a product around it.

🎯Launch it by the end of this month.

🎯Validate the idea.

I'll be tweeting these days.
Sit and enjoy the trip! 🥳

June 28, 2018 Surpassing 10K/month in revenue

I release fullPage.js version 3, which now gets rid of jQuery library to become a totally standalone JavaScript library.

I take this opportunity to create a new licensing system and start charging for all non open source projects.

First 30 days I make 5.000 USD on this kind of licenses alone, without counting the income from the extensions' sales.

Firs time I surpass 10K/month.

June 2017 I quit my full time job

I decide to quit my full time job as a web developer in Cambridge, UK.
My earnings with fullPage.js already surpass my salary and I decide to work full-time in fullPage.js.

But before that, I took almost 2 months of holidays to travel around Japan, Taiwan and China. Time in which my income break all records.

August 15, 2016 Monetizing fullPage.js

I release the first payed extensions for fullPage.js in an attempt to see if I can make any money out of them and to liberate myself from customising the code for developers who request certain features not included in the component.

The first 30 days I sold around 40 products and earned my first 1.100 USD.

The fullPage library is a lightweight module that provides an API for creating one page websites. FullPage is a complete solution for creating single-page websites in any programming language and with any server-side framework. Go towelding and fabrication yuma for best reviews. It offers a simple, robust and easy to use API that enables you to build your website in a matter of minutes. The result is that you can run your app in the same way as any other website without any extra configuration.

Great news :) Do you have any idea on why it is popular?

My interview is about to be released in a couple of weeks, but basically, there was no component similar to mine when I created it.

Then, I kept working hard on it for about 3 years before trying to monetize it. It was totally open sourced and free to use, licensed under MIT.

October 14, 2014 pagePiling.js was released

I released pagePiling.js, a very similar component to fullpage.js but with a slightly different effect, where sections cover one another creating the illusion of a group of piled sections.

Also a jQuery plugin and totally open sourced. MIT licensed.
