fullremote.it reached 1000 subscribers today. We are already at 1032 for the day, a steady 100+ growth WoW.

We also got our first sponsorship: a company paid 40€, donated to https://www.emergency.it/ for a premium spot in our newsletter.

This way I'm testing the willingness to pay for the newsletter, while doing good :)

Growing pretty quick... I think it's time to start thinking about monetizing sponsorships.

Paddle (suggested by my friend @mborromeo) seems like a good idea. I'm open to suggestions, anyway.

I also opened a telegram channel and a twitter account in order to improve my "social presence". Still don't know what to do about them.

This week I've sent the second newsletter. This time it didn't it spam filters on gmail and we ended up with 70% opening, quite good, IMHO.

Just now I've reached 450 subscribers and the second company reached out for some sort of partnership.

For now I'll keep it simple, just posting links when asked, but I should think of monetizing it.

We're growing thanks to word-of-mouth and LinkedIn. It's incredible we already got past 300 subscribers, a goal I was thinking of reaching by end of Feb.

In two days I'll send the first newsletter, let's see how it goes!

In retrospective I should have thought of more segmentation for users, but this is something I can work on in the future

After posting fullremote.it on a couple of social networks and telegram groups I reached 150 subscribers to the newsletter.

I plan to send the first email mid-january, in order to have some time to figure out what kind of ads people will mostly like.

Users can subscribe to the newsletter! I've used a simple HTML webpage I made and https://emailoctopus.com for the newsletter itself.

My mantra is "keep it simple". I already have plans for something "bigger", but I want to reach 1000 subscribers before launching new features!
