April 19, 2023 functionmetric Beta Launch

I’m excited to introduce functionmetric, the latest monitoring solution for serverless applications. We have developed over the past several months, and we’re now making it available to the wider community for feedback. 🤗

As developers ourselves, we understand the challenges of optimising serverless functions and the importance of real-time monitoring to ensure optimal performance.🚀

We’re different from the other existing monitoring frameworks. You keep your data and collect your metrics in your own AWS account. This means you can track an unlimited number of invocations. 📈

No more logging into multiple AWS accounts or struggling to find the data you need. With functionmetric, you can easily monitor all your clients' serverless functions from a single, intuitive interface. Plus, you can organise your metrics into services and stages, so you get dashboards with just the right view.

We look forward to hearing your feedback as you explore our platform!

Hey j3tto, that’s awesome - will this work for express js?. I’m interested in chatting more if you have time. I am building a frontend monitoring tool and curious about your journey.

      Hi mguoynes,

If you were to deploy your application as a serverless project: https://www.serverless.com/blog/serverless-express-rest-api/ then you could monitor your lambda functions with our product. This would be a pretty nice pattern to use as it's very cost efficient and scales well.

We built our frontend in React and our backend is powered by a serverless architecture, API Gateway, Lambda functions and DynamoDB.

Happy to chat if you'd like 🙂

About

We found that existing serverless monitoring tools didn't have a great way to keep track of multiple customer accounts and environments, and were often limited by the number of invocations that could be tracked.
