Hey IH! I just launched FundSim — a free, browser-based finance simulator for anyone trying to break into PE, VC, or IB.
The problem: learning LBO modeling, DCF valuation, or PE waterfall distributions used to require buying $500+ Wall Street Prep courses or getting an Excel spreadsheet from a friend. Neither is great.
What I built: FundSim lets you run interactive models right in your browser:
LBO simulator (entry multiples, debt tranches, exit assumptions → IRR / MOIC)
- DCF calculator (revenue projections, WACC, terminal value)
- M&A accretion/dilution model
- PE waterfall distribution calculator (preferred return, carried interest)
- VC cap table simulator (multiple rounds, dilution, liquidation preferences)
