November 19, 2025 NEWS - Updates

Hello there,

I’ve been quietly working on a big refresh, and it’s finally live. Almost the entire UI ( on android app ) has been redesigned to feel cleaner, more modern, and aligned with 2025 standards. I also improved the onboarding/tutorial flow so new users can get started faster and with less friction.

On the technical side, I optimized a lot under the hood to make the app feel faster and more responsive. I tried to keep the core functionality intact while layering in some new improvements — but since a lot of code had to be touched, a few bugs may still pop up. I’m keeping an eye on everything and will patch any issues quickly.

I’m really happy to see that so many of you already have the app installed on your devices. It honestly gives me a lot of motivation to keep improving it and pushing the project forward. Thanks for the support!

PS In a short time i will try to finally launch my app on WebPage so You can easily get access to it also from webpage, not only using Android.

July 15, 2025 From Android App to Web Presence: Fundsy’s Evolution

Fundsy started as a solo Android app — built from scratch to help me personally manage my budget in a clear, flexible way. No team, no funding, no marketing — just one developer trying to build a better budgeting experience.

Over time, I kept improving it: adding features like category-based tracking, savings goals, custom reminders, monthly summaries, and clean charts — all focused on helping real people take control of their finances. Not bloated, not gamified — just focused.

Eventually, I added a simple companion website (fundsypage.web.app) as an enhancement — mainly to share more info about the app and make it easier for others to discover it.

Building for Android today as a solo dev feels tough — especially with modern standards and high expectations. But Fundsy is still here, growing steadily, made with care, and open to feedback from real users.

Cool to see it grow from an app to a web presence. What’s been the hardest part of building it solo?

Lack of time ( because Im not a PRO programmer, IT related so i only can work on that in my free time ) and unfortunately bad PR ( i didnt make proper advertising ) / ASO. I started the app since October 2024r. ... and after 9 months i can tell that the app is only the tip of iceberg ... The real deal starts when You wat to release it and have people who will be using it. I am still trying to manage that but the thing that mostly "keep me to update" the app, the webpage is ... Im making it 4Fun, i really like to see how changes make my app grow and grow ( i will release web using in a couple of motnhs ) :) If ill do it for money - probably i quit the project 4 months ago. Maybe in future my app will have more users, more FEEDBACK and then i will be able to make some other updates --> Updates PEOPLE want, not just me.

      Good day Sir!

June 23, 2025 Finally Done With webpage. Now I Can focus on the Actual Product 😅

After weeks of design tweaks, layout fixes, and others, https://fundsypage.web.app/# finally has a finished UI, UX! 🥳

It’s a small but huge win — now I can finally shift 100% of my focus to what matters most: making the app actually work well.

Next steps:

  • Hook up remaining logic to make it fully usable from the browser - for now You can see "SOON"

  • Squash any bugs I encounter along the way in Androi app

May 26, 2025 I built Fundsy — a budgeting app that makes managing money easier

Hi Indie Hackers,

I recently launched Fundsy, a budgeting app I built because I was frustrated with existing tools. Most were either too basic, too complex or too expensive. I wanted something that felt intuitive, fast, and flexible — so I made it myself.

What Fundsy offers:

  • Manage multiple bank accounts with live balance updates

  • Smart categorization of expenses and savings

  • Calendar view to track when transactions happen

  • Notifications for goals and reminders

  • Overspending warnings with a way to balance funds

  • Quick Add button for fast income or expense logging

  • Transfer money between subcategories

Stack: Flutter + Firebase. Fully self-funded and solo-built.

Would love to hear your thoughts:

  • How do you handle budgeting now?

  • Any features you think are missing in most finance apps?

Thanks for reading.

About

I wanted a budgeting tool that was both powerful and intuitive - something that gives you full control over your finances without being overwhelming. So I built Fundsy to strike the right balance.
