GardenBox 3D

GardenBox 3D is a Windows software program that helps homeowners and landscape professionals design gardens, backyards, patios, and other outdoor spaces in realistic 2D and 3D.

The idea behind GardenBox 3D is simple: planning a garden shouldn't require expensive CAD software or years of design experience. We wanted to build a tool that anyone can use to turn an idea into a detailed project before spending time and money on construction.

How it works

1. Draw your property

Start by creating a plot with the exact dimensions of your land. You can draw both regular and custom-shaped lots, recreate slopes and elevations, and use measurement tools for accurate planning.

2. Add buildings and landscape elements

Choose from hundreds of built-in models, including houses, fences, pergolas, gazebos, patios, pools, ponds, pathways, lighting, outdoor furniture, playgrounds, and many other objects. Everything can be resized, rotated, and positioned exactly where you need it.

3. Create a realistic garden

Add trees, shrubs, flowers, lawns, vegetable beds, and greenhouses. You can also experiment with different layouts and see how your outdoor space will look before making any real changes.

4. Customize materials

Change colors, textures, and exterior finishes for buildings, pathways, walls, and decorative elements. This makes it easy to compare different design styles without rebuilding the project from scratch.

5. Explore your project in 3D

One of my favorite features is switching from the 2D plan to a fully interactive 3D view. You can walk through the project, rotate the camera, and even preview how sunlight and shadows change throughout the day. It helps spot design issues long before construction begins.
