GatedGuide
Turning YouTube videos into high-converting web lead magnets
It turns out that releasing a MVP is actually the easiest step. For a developer who is not good at social media management, it is a more difficult problem to make the target users aware of the product.
Previously, without any experience in social media management, with just an idea and an action, GatedGuide was born. However, it was only later that I realized how rare it was for most peers to have enough customers soon after the product was launched.
Are their products one in a million? Is my GatedGuide completely useless? I think it's more that successful people can better convey their products to their target users. When you manage your social media well and have a certain influence, you are undoubtedly a "loud - mouthed" person. Within your reach, it is relatively easy to make people know about your product.
As an unknown newcomer, without spending money on advertising, there aren't many options. It seems that one can only do what can be done and wait for time to pass, waiting for a chance that may never come.
Kit is integrated. Now, after the user configures the API key of Kit, the email entered by the fans during reading will be directly transferred to Kit, and Kit can handle the subsequent email marketing. Moreover, it can provide better assistance for subsequent marketing based on different sources and traffic.
This product only needs to complete generation -> collection (of course, it can retain the function of manually exporting the email CSV list, which is compatible with non-Kit users). It only takes one operation from generation to collection, and there is no need to use multiple tools in combination.

I like to learn from platforms like YouTube. However, it's really tedious to watch long videos to find a specific tutorial. Sometimes, I prefer well - structured documents, which allow me to quickly get the content I want.
Usually, creators offer a "cheat sheet" or "SOP" in the description. But the current process to get it is awful: You click the link ➡️ Enter your email ➡️ Leave your browser ➡️ Open your Gmail app ➡️ Wait for the automated email ➡️ Download a clunky PDF ➡️ Pinch and zoom to read it on your phone.
Most of the time, I just give up halfway.
But I also understand the creator's side: They must put these files behind an email gate to build their audience、survive the algorithm and convert them into private domain traffic.
So I built a win-win solution: GatedGuide.
It takes those long video tutorials and turns them into interactive, web-based guides. For the audience: You enter your email, and the blurred webpage instantly unlocks right there. No downloading files, no checking inboxes, just immediate online reading. For the creator: The email is still collected and synced straight to their CRM.
Obstacles for fans' operations have been reduced, and they can also quickly determine whether it's necessary through online preview. The conversion rate of creators has increased, and the generated guides are also a type of reusable digital asset.
