Themes for Gatsbyjs

Visit Website
July 15, 2019 We got our first paying customer!

Someone bought our themes for 10$. At first we started charging 39$ but, then switched it to a suggested amount of 39$ until, we ultimately made the price free / pay what you want. We decided on this because we are creating a new market, since no one has ever sold themes for Gatsbyjs.

Next up we are going to try and follow up with that customer to learn more about their motivations and what they might want in terms of theme products for the future.

Smart move to build themes for an up-and-coming CMS. I thought about doing this for Craft CMS a few years ago but never executed. Hope things going well 👍

Absolutely amazing. I think making it pay-what-you-want is one of the best ways to facilitate price discovery. Will you keep the pricing model, or fix it at a certain price around $10?

You I want to but its licensed as GPL v3. For our first homemade theme we'll try to make it robust and charge a premium.

      Thanks!

That sounds dope! With that user count you could make a premium version with more features. Might be a better way to capture more serious users.

September 15, 2017 Coworker introduced me to Gatsby

One day, my manager posted on our off-topic slack channel about an new open source project called GatsbyJS. I looked into it and after a few weekends of tinkering I came to love the project and adopt it as my standard frontend technology tool. Since I've made tons of projects with the framework to learn more about how it works.
