GatsbyTemplates

We just rolled out new version of our site, actually it's 3rd already!
It's still beta, and there's will be a lot of improvements along the way.
New site was coded completely from scratch, with SEO and aesthetics in mind. And of course we don't forget about UX :)

We decided that "gatsby templates" is already too niche, so there's no need to narrow it more and listing only themes*. And we added best starters what we can found on the internet, and will be adding more in the future!

• • for those who not familiar with the concept - themes it's a plugins that provide styles and some functionality. And Starters it's just one archive/repo which includes everything

I created a new theme designed for digital creators - https://gatsbytemplates.io/theme/porto/
At some point I noticed that "portfolio" themes attracting most of visitors of my site. So I decided to create one with minimal design. One that I would like to use. So check it out!

So, we launched our first premium theme.
What's good:

• Launched first email campaign, got more than 50% openings, 20% clicks
• More than 100 visits from Reddit
  What's bad:
• No sales at all
• Only a few visitors from twitter(even for free themes that number was higher)

As my girlfriend decided to join this project, she made new design for site, new logo, and so on. And then I coded it.
It's still not 100% ready, have some minor bugs and a room for improvement. But it's a lot better than what was before.
People's feedback are good, too.

And getting first 10 followers was the most hardest part of audience building. To gain 100 followers I used manual targeted mass-following. At first Twitter will allow you to follow 10-15 people at once. The more followers you got, more you will be allowed to follow.

And posted about it on twitter. Main idea - make one place where you can choose theme for Gatsby at your taste.
Interesting result - after I added themes, less people are subscribing to email newsletter on the site, but more people started following on twitter.

Converted two example html5 themes, added basic landing page with listed themes, subscription form, and even no logo at first. Got first visitors, realized that I need a way more marketing, add pages, SEO optimization, social media presence and a lot other ways.
