Gelato Network
Web3's automation protocol
Over the past year, Gelato has made tremendous strides in becoming the automation layer of DeFi. A wide variety of protocols rely on it every day. These automation use cases range from powering limit orders natively on leading AMMs such as QuickSwap, SpookySwap, and SpiritSwap, collateral protection for Aave on platforms such as Instadapp, and Cono Finance, and G-UNI; the most widely adopted automated liquidity management solution on Ethereum by TVL.
These integrations demonstrate Gelato’s composability and why it has emerged as one of the key “Infrastructure Lego Bricks” in the evolving web3 stack. Building on this momentum, Gelato is launching its newest product which enables web3 developers to easily automate arbitrary, protocol specific “tasks” via a simple to use dashboard called Gelato Ops - https://app.gelato.network/.
Using Gelato Ops, developers can input the contract address and function they want to automate, when they want to automate it, and how they will pay for it. Having submitted this information as a “task”, it will be picked up by Gelato Executors and executed at the right time. Developers can monitor past transactions, manage their budget, and debug their tasks. Payments can be in the network token (ETH, MATIC, or FTM) and soon with other tokens, including DAI or USDC.
Gelato’s mission is to automate everything and with Gelato Ops, developers can easily automate their everyday activities in the permissionless manner they come to value and expect in a web3 world.

- Gelato v2 enables a wide variety of operations ranging from limit orders to dollar-cost averaging to refinancing one’s debt position to avoid liquidation.
- Using Gelato v2, web3 developers can build “service” smart contracts that define certain transactions that Executors (bots in the Gelato Network) monitor and automatically execute on behalf of projects and their users.
- Bots are coordinated using “slots” and only execute transactions when it is their “turn” in order to avoid racing conditions while guaranteeing maximum efficiency.

Gelato Network deployed onto Ethereum Mainnet and the smart contracts were audited.
Developers can finally use Gelato to automate the execution of their users’ transactions, without having to run any of the underlying server infrastructure themselves.
