Cold outreach prompt pack for freelancers
For months my cold outreach read like everyone else's AI-generated email: "I came across your work and was really impressed..." I sent a lot of those. They got ignored, and honestly I'd have ignored them too.
The change was small: instead of a paragraph of flattery plus a vague "would love to chat", I started sending one real proof point and one small ask.
Before: "Hi! I came across your company and was really impressed by what you're building. I help brands like yours grow with high-converting content. Would love to hop on a quick call to explore synergies!"
After: "Your pricing page says 'talk to sales' three times but never says what a plan costs. I rewrote the first block — it's two lines, pasted below. Want the rest of the page? Reply 'yes' and I'll send it."
Result: replies got shorter and more useful — mostly "send it", "not now", or a real objection I could learn from. Still not magic. There's plenty of silence, and it only works when the proof is genuinely specific to that person. But I stopped guessing what to write.
I packaged the prompts I actually use into two small $9 packs:
Get the Reply — for freelancers who already have an offer and just need a better first message: https://ritalatte.gumroad.com/l/agfxsm
No Portfolio? Still Pitch. — for juniors and career-switchers pitching without a track record yet: https://ritalatte.gumroad.com/l/agoxjn
No income promises from me — these are just the prompts behind the change, and if the free version above is enough for you, use that.
Question for you: what's one outreach line that actually got you a reply? I'm curious whether the proof-first pattern holds outside my niche.
